A fiery tractor trailer accident on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway on Monday afternoon created a chaotic scene that left motorists backed up for miles and for hours, well into the evening rush. The accident happened around 1 p.m. on the northbound lanes near Cadman Plaza. It's not known how the truck crashed, but officials say the vehicle exploded after smashing into the guardrail.
